Each Wi-Fi enabled battery has an embedded module that is turned off by default.

How to turn on the battery Wi-Fi

To use the GRANITE LINK App, the battery Wi-Fi must be turned on: push and hold the LED button for approx 6~8 seconds until a green LED light up and start a blinking sequence. When the Wi-Fi module has completed the boot-up sequence the topmost RGB LEDs will start blinking every 2 seconds when transmitting battery data.

Exception: if the battery voltage is below 10500mV while booting up, the LED blinks green-red for 5 seconds and then turns off indicating that the system cannot operate due to the low voltage. Wait for the battery to rise above this threshold before powering the module again.

How to turn off the battery Wi-Fi

different methods are available:

  • press and hold the LED push button for at least 5 sec, when a red LED lights up and initiates a blinking sequence lasting about 5 sec, after which the system is off.
  • If the battery is not connected to the GRANITE LINK App for more than the hours indicated by the Off-Timer set in the battery by the user through the App (default: 8hours), it switches off automatically without user intervention to conserve power.
  • if the battery voltage drops below 10000mV for a time longer than 5 minutes, it switches off automatically without user intervention to conserve power

Once the system is on, the battery operates by default in two modes concurrently:

  1. Access-Point mode
  2. Client mode

Please note:

  • it is important that the device running the App  is connected to the same Wi-Fi network  as the battery that you want to control, otherwise no data will be received by the App.
  • Please note that the status of the Wi-Fi embedded module does not alter the operation of the battery pack: it may be turned on or off as desired without any consequence to the battery performance.
  • In some cases, when it seems that the App is not receiving data as it should although all the conditions are correctly met, it may be necessary to kill the App and relaunch it. In such case, please follow the methods devised for your operative system.
